10th anniversary Eastern Economic Forum scheduled for 3–6 September 2025

“The landmark 10th Anniversary Eastern Economic Forum, scheduled for 3 to 6 September 2025, will showcase what has been accomplished over the years while also creating new ‘points of growth’ for the economy in the Far East and the country as a whole. The State Programme for the Socioeconomic Development of the Far Eastern Federal District in conjunction with wise decisions made by the Russian President on the sidelines of the EEF have changed the region over time and impacted the economy in the Asia-Pacific region. Everyone who has participated in the event has helped forge economic, social, and cultural ties within the Far Eastern Federal District and with foreign partners, making the Forum into a powerful economic bridgehead from which to strengthen relations with our neighbours in the region,” Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

The success of previous forums has set the bar high for the anniversary event. 2,480 agreements worth over RUB 29 trillion were signed at the Eastern Economic Forum between 2015 and 2024. Agreements have been concluded primarily for the construction of infrastructure, the development of transport networks for energy and mining, and the overall socio-economic development of Russia’s regions. Participants will continue their work in 2025 as they implement projects and solutions to strengthen the local economy and achieve Russia’s national development goals.

“The importance of the Eastern Economic Forum to the development of the Far East and the country as a whole is undeniable. The Forum raises issues of strategic importance for the development of the Far Eastern Federal District and the entire Asia-Pacific region. All decisions made at the Forum have one goal – to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Far East and make the Far East more attractive to investors, qualified specialists, students, and people looking for adventure. The Forum is an opportunity to strengthen international co-operation and ties with countries open to dialogue and attract new investment. A record number of investment agreements were signed this year and more than 7,000 people from 75 countries took part. Preparations for the 10th anniversary Forum are already underway, and I have no doubt interest among politicians, entrepreneurs, and experts will be as great as ever,” Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev said.

The Forum programme will include discussions aimed at unifying efforts in the search for ways to strengthen the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District and the country as a whole. The Far East will put its technological achievements, investment potential, a diversity of important projects, and unique cultural features on display at the Far East Street exhibition, traditionally held as part of the EEF.
