In 2017, the throughput of the Commercial Port of Vladivostok reached an all-time high of its 120 years of operation – 7.5 million tonnes of cargo, which is 33% more than in 2016, reports the port’s press service.
The volume of containers processed in 2017 increased by 42% over 2016, reaching 467.94 thousand TEU. The volume of transshipped general cargo rose by 43%, reaching 2.99 million tonnes, whereas the volume of cars and special machinery went up by 52% to 37.8 thousand units.
In 2017, the port optimized existing areas, which augmented the capacity of warehouses, and 24 units of new transshipment equipment were purchased. The port was connected by rail to Krasnoyarsk and Ekaterinburg for cargo shipment. The number of shipments to Moscow increased as well.

2nd Falcon Day International Forum Dates Announced
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum met in Moscow under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko.
