The EEF 2019 in Vladivostok featured a
thematic zone called the Building Trust Area, a unique platform that combines
two of the Roscongress Foundation’s top
focuses: the Innovation Space and the Innosocium LAB.
The main theme of the EEF 2019 was the
search for new solutions to accelerate economic growth, improve people’s quality of life, develop business, and promote
international cooperation. Issues concerning the work of NGOs were part of a
separate programme that was held on the opening day of the EEF. The main focus
of the programme was how NGOs work with business partners and sponsors. The
Innosocium Foundation signed an agreement on cooperation with the Presidential
Grants Fund at the EEF 2019 according to which the Foundation took charge of 10
projects for which it will provide assistance in promoting and establishing
collaboration with potential business partners. Almost 230 social and cultural
projects that have received presidential grants are currently being implemented
in the regions of the Far East. Roughly 270 of them have already been
successfully implemented.
“The social agenda has been and remains a priority for
the Roscongress Foundation as well as for Innosocium Foundation that was
established in order to support and develop social agenda, and we are
continuing our work to promote this theme as part of the Eastern Economic Forum’s business programme and on the sidelines of the
thematic Building Trust Area platform. For us, it is extremely important to
underscore the importance of creating the necessary conditions for the
development of a social ecosystem in the country’s regions while paying particular attention to the Far
Eastern Federal District”,
Roscongress Foundation CEO Alexander Stuglev said.
“Organizing such platforms as the Building Trust Area
at the EEF 2019 is a large-scale, ambitious, and very useful thing. I am proud
that this event is taking place in our region. It’s nice that the Roscongress Foundation and the
Innosocium Foundation have not forgotten about us and we really want this to
continue going forward. Such events and meetings provide the strength to move
forward”, said Elena Alexeyeva, head of a project
titled ‘Teaching Group 1 and 2 Disabled Persons How
to Drive’ at the Federation of Sports for Persons
with Musculoskeletal Disorders in the Primorye Territory.
During the Building Trust Area programme,
participants and guests discussed the most effective fundraising tools and also
gained invaluable experience in preparing presentations and public speeches
during a series of master classes.
“The Eastern Economic Forum is the largest
socioeconomic discussion platform for the Far East. Organizing a thematic space
where representatives of the public, business, and government can discuss
issues related to the quality of life of people living in the Far Eastern
Federal District is an excellent initiative that emerged last year. The
Building Trust Area platform at the EEF 2019 brought together a large number of
participants and discussion topics. I am certain that the participation of NGOs
from Primorye in the Forum will benefit organizations, their beneficiaries, and
the entire region since NGOs are the most important drivers for the
implementation of the socioeconomic development strategy as well as national
and regional projects”, the
director of the Charity Fund Alexandra Monastyreva said.
“The opening day programme was a huge event for all
NGOs in the Far East and an opportunity to communicate with colleagues from
other regions. This does not happen that often here since we live far away from
each other. It’s fantastic that we had an opportunity to
listen to prominent experts speak about issues that are important to our work – how to work with business, how to raise funds for
projects, and how to present ourselves. Separately, I would like to note the
high level of organization of the Building Trust Area platform itself. It
provides an understanding that NGOs are also involved in the country’s economic and social life and that serious changes
aren’t likely to be achieved without us. It is
particularly important that some of the participants were able to gain to the
Forum’s main platforms in the following days such
as discussions on charity, education, volunteering, the EEF cultural programme,
and the Far East Street exhibition, which generated a lot of new ideas for work”, said Svetlana Bazhenova, the general director of the
Razvitiye (Development) autonomous non-profit organization for continuing
professional education and consulting.
The Roscongress Foundation and the
Innosocium Foundation decided at the EEF 2019 to create the first resource
centre and co-working zone for NGOs in the Far East, which will be used to hold
various thematic events, meetings among NGO representatives, and other events
that are essential NGOs working in the region to develop and work comfortably.
The Administration of the Primorye Territory is expected to provide a site for
the resource centre and co-working zone for NGOs. The Innosocium Foundation and
the Roscongress Foundation will ensure the site has the necessary equipment and
furniture.
