Innosocium Foundation and Creative Industries Agency Sign Cooperation Agreement at EEF

The Innosocium Foundation signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Creative Industries Agency during the Eastern Economic Forum. The document was signed on 2 September by Innosocium Foundation First Deputy Director Andrey Gavrilenko and Creative Industries Agency Founder Elena Zelentsova.

The Agreement aims to promote the development of the creative economy in the Russian Federation, in particular, the joint development of programmes to improve the legal regulation of creative industries.

“We intend to make joint efforts to solve this important task, which will help improve the environment for the progressive development of the creative economy. We’re talking about drafting new and updating the existing legal regulation in this area. Now we will be able to combine our experience and capabilities to present the most important projects at the federal and regional levels,” said Elena Marinina, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the Innosocium Foundation – the social platform of the Roscongress Foundation.

As part of the strategic partnership, the parties plan to prepare proposals to make amendments and additions to bills on this theme, organize professional contests for creative entrepreneurs during the national selection of participants for the international creative start-up competition ‘Creative Business Cup’, initiate the creation of a venture fund to develop creative startups, and adapt the well-known hackathon methodology to resolve production problems in creative industries. There are also plans to develop targeted projects with the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

“The consolidation of our capabilities with the Innosocium Foundation will allow us to implement a systematic approach that combines professional education and business support for promising initiatives. Assistance needs to be provided to entrepreneurs in creative industries from the moment a creative idea emerges to the successful entry into the market,” Zelentsova said. “We are interested in replicating advanced ideas and will support the development of creative industries in Russia with the effective tools available in our arsenal.”
