The programme for a visiting session to be
held on 10 December in Istanbul has been published. The event is organized by
the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Embassy of the Russian
Federation and the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Türkiye.
The event will
take place at the Mandarin Oriental
Bosphorus Hotel and will serve as an important milestone in strengthening
business and investment ties between the two countries.
“Russia and Türkiye
share a long-standing and stable partnership that continues to
thrive in areas such as trade, industry, and energy. In recent years, trade
turnover between our countries has significantly increased, exceeding USD 60
billion in 2023. Türkiye is one of Russia’s key economic partners, and both
sides are eager to expand cooperation further. This visiting session will be a
crucial step in strengthening bilateral relations and creating new business
initiatives,” noted Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.
The main focus of
the session will be on developing trade and economic interactions and exploring
new mechanisms to support partnerships between Russian and foreign companies.
The agenda will include discussions on effective approaches to overcoming
challenges in the context of the transformation of the global economy.
The opening session
will feature addresses by Alexey Yerkhov,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the
Republic of Türkiye; Ali Alperen Kaçar,
Deputy Director General of International Trade Services of the Ministry of
Commerce of the Republic of Türkiye; Izzet
Ekmekcibasi, Chairman of the Turkish-Russian Business Council (DEİK); and Aidar Gashigullin, Trade Representative
of the Russian Federation in Türkiye. The session will be moderated by Erdem Acay, Chairman of the
Russian-Turkish Businessmen’s Association (RTİB).
One of the central
events will be the presentation of key business communication platforms of the
Roscongress Foundation. Participants will be introduced to the Foundation’s
major ecosystem projects, including the St. Petersburg International Economic
Forum, the Russian Energy Week, the Let’s Travel! Tourism Forum, the St.
Petersburg International Legal Forum, the Russian Design Industry Forum, the
Caucasus Investment Forum, the Young Scientists Congress, the Future
Technologies Forum, and the Healthy Life Forum.
“These initiatives
attract international attention, creating opportunities for business
connections and experience sharing. The Roscongress Foundation’s projects
facilitate expanded economic cooperation and discussions on pressing global
economic issues. We are confident that our collaboration with Türkiye will
strengthen mutually beneficial ties and support the implementation of
large-scale business initiatives,” emphasized Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the
Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Roscongress Foundation.
The programme will
conclude with a panel discussion where participants will discuss successful
examples of Russian-Turkish cooperation and share ideas on overcoming current
challenges. Special attention will be given to collaboration as part of the St.
Petersburg International Economic Forum.

feature Erdem Acay, Chairman of the
Russian-Turkish Businessmen’s Association (RTİB); İsmet Biner, representative of OPORA Russia in the Marmara and
Aegean regions of Türkiye; Alexey Valkov,
Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the St. Petersburg
International Economic Forum; Emre
Gençer, Chairman of the Turkish Machine Manufacturers Association (MİB); Kadir Kurtuluş, Head of the ROST
Russian-Turkish Trade House; Timur Safin,
representative of the Russian Export Center in the Republic of Türkiye; and Vladimir Emmer, representative of the
Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Republic of Türkiye.
