Development of the Far Eastern and
Arctic territories, as well as strengthening international cooperation in the
Asia Pacific will be the main topics of the Eastern Economic Forum 2024, which
will be held in Vladivostok on 3–6 September. The Eastern Economic Forum is
organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
“The Eastern Economic Forum has
traditionally been a platform for discussing key topics in the comprehensive
development of not only the Far East and the Russian Arctic, but also Asia
Pacific as a whole. Among other things, Forum participants – representatives of
government authorities, business and expert communities – will discuss such
issues as saving people’s money, improving the quality and standard of living,
personnel training and infrastructure modernization. Special attention will be
paid to the issues of further strengthening of international cooperation in the
light of the growing role of Southeast Asian states in the economy of the
multipolar world,” said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian
Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the
preparation and holding of the EEF.
The Eastern Economic Forum 2024
will be held at the Far Eastern Federal University campus in Vladivostok. The
Forum business agenda will be complemented by the Vladivostok Seasons Festival
and a sports programme. Traditionally, the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition will be
organized, where visitors will be able to learn about the cultural, economic
and innovative potential of the Far Eastern regions. The 2nd Falcon Day
International Forum will be held on the opening day of the EEF.
