The Primorsky Territory will present its
existing and new investment projects, tourist attractions, as well as transport
and logistics opportunities at the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition,
which will be held on 3–8 September as part
of the Eastern Economic Forum 2024 in Vladivostok. The concept of this year’s
pavilion is ‘The Primorsky Territory: A Lighthouse on the Russian Map’. The
exhibition is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of
the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in
the Far Eastern Federal District.
“The Primorsky Territory’s exposition is
one of the key ones at the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition.
Vladivostok is the capital of the Far Eastern Federal District. The Eastern
Economic Forum, which has become one of the most standout economic and cultural
events not only in our country, but throughout the world, is being held here
for the ninth year. The Primorsky Territory is the leader in the Far East in
terms of the number of investment projects that are being implemented. The
implementation of a large-scale project to transform 25 cities has been
launched in the Far East, and Vladivostok is one of them. And now the measures
associated with the master plan are beginning to change the city’s
infrastructure. It is crucial to continue the progressive economic and social
development of Vladivostok, the Primorsky Territory, the Far East, and our
entire country, so that the Far East remains attractive to investors and as
many Russians and residents of other countries as possible can visit and fall
in love with the Far Eastern lands,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister and
Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in the Far Eastern
Federal District Yury Trutnev said.
The Primorsky Territory’s exposition is
based on a key object – a lighthouse. The lighthouse’s features reflect the
basic principles and focuses of the region’s development. The Primorsky
Territory is a region that is developing new contacts with countries of the
Asia-Pacific region, attracting investors, and implementing projects. The
region positions itself as a territory for the younger generation and a place
where people can live comfortably and advance in their careers. A lighthouse,
the main art object, will be installed on the roof of the pavilion. At night,
it will shine a beam of light to make the pavilion more visible, attract
attention, and reflect the concept of the exhibition.
The Primorsky Territory’s pavilion will
be divided into six thematic areas. The first to greets visitors will be an
area that presents the region’s key projects: master plans for the region’s
cities, the creation of a satellite city of Vladivostok, recreational
opportunities in Zarubino, the work of the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex and the
Progress plant, and the construction of a museum and theatre complex on
Orlinaya Sopka. Visitors will be able to view these projects using a special
touchscreen.
“The ‘Far East Street’
project is an opportunity to show participants and guests of the Eastern
Economic Forum that it is becoming more promising and comfortable to be friends
with the Primorsky Territory and develop your business here. We are seeing an
annual increase in investment. There are reasons for this: our region stands
out due to its geographical location, transport and logistics capabilities,
and, of course, the advanced special economic zones and the Free Port of
Vladivostok. Our pavilion will tell the Forum participants and guests about the
most exciting projects and key industries in which the Primorsky Territory is a
leader and is setting the trend for other regions,” Primorsky Territory
Governor Oleg Kozhemyako said.
The ‘Logistics’
area will contain information about ports, border crossings, transport hubs and
measures being implemented to develop the Northern Sea Route. An interactive
assistant will help guests learn about the region’s logistics potential.
The ‘Industry’
area will provide information about leading enterprises, prospects for developing
the region’s mineral resource base and electric power industry, and sites for
launching new investment projects. It will focus on the opportunities that
investors can take advantage of by becoming a resident of the advanced special
economic zone, the Free Port of Vladivostok, or the industrial park. The
region’s key sports projects will be presented in the Sport area.
The 9th
Eastern Economic Forum will take place on 3–6
September at the campus of Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok.
During these days, the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition will
be open to Forum participants, and on 7–8
September it will be open to everyone. The EEF is being organized by the
Roscongress Foundation.
