  • LEONID PETUKHOV APPOINTED HEAD OF FAR EAST INVESTMENT AND EXPORT AGENCY

    Established in 2015, the Far East Investment and Export Agency engages in export promotion, attracting new residents to advanced special economic zones and Vladivostok Free Port, and raising direct investment for projects in the Far East, according to a press release issued by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East.

    Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Galushka has approved the appointment of Leonid Petukhov as General Director of the Far East Investment and Export Agency. According to the Minister, the Agency’s mission is to assist investors in implementing their proposed projects and to increase the number of successfully functioning enterprises.

    “The Agency’s portfolio contains more than a trillion roubles worth of projects, and this is only the beginning of large-scale efforts to bring investors to the Russian Far East. Our task is to see all projects launched through to successful completion. That’s why the existing team has been strengthened with an accomplished leader who has considerable experience of working with international investors”, Alexander Galushka said.

    Prior to this appointment, Leonid Petukhov held a number of executive positions in various Russian and international companies. He has management consulting experience and a track record of raising direct investment, primarily in the mining, metals, and agricultural sectors.
