    The Russian Boxing Federation was founded in 1992. Over the past 30 years our boxers have won 10 gold medals at the Olympics, 27 top awards at world championships for men and 24 for women. And two women's (2005, 2019) and one men's (2019) world championships were held in our country. It is safe to say that Russian athletes have preserved and enhanced the traditions of Soviet boxing.
    Boxing in our country has been developing especially rapidly in recent years. Along with two World Championships Russia has hosted two Global Boxing Forums and dozens of major professional boxing tournaments over the last five years. At the suggestion of the Russian Boxing Federation, the International Boxing Day was established, and as part of the celebration in 2017, the world record for the most mass open boxing training was set. "Boxing unites!" - the federation's slogan was not chosen by chance.
    The Russian Boxing Federation includes 85 regional Federations, with more than 150 regional, national and international competitions held annually in the country.
    Boxing in Russia involves more than 200 thousand people. Of these 116,000 are young boxers. In each city with a population of over 500 thousand people there are usually from 8 to 30 different boxing sections.
