Far Eastern Quarter and Other Construction Stimulus Measures in the FEFD to be Discussed at EEF Online Session

The Eastern Economic Forum online session ‘Construction Stimulus Measures in the Russian Far East’ will be held on 28 October at 10:00 Moscow Standard Time (MSK). The event is being organized by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), DOM.RF, and the Roscongress Foundation.

The event is a continuation of the strategic session held during EEF 2021 on reducing the cost and increasing the quality of housing in the Russian Far East. One of the FEFD’s most important objectives is attracting the public to the macroregion and helping them plant their roots. Accessible and high-quality housing is a crucial aspect of achieving this goal. Demand for high-quality housing in the Russian Far East is extant: the next step is finding a balance between supply and demand.

The online session will feature developers, government officials, and representatives of financial institutions as they discuss government support measures for stimulating the construction of housing, reducing costs, and increasing the accessibility of housing in the FEFD. These measures include the Far Eastern Quarter, Infrastructure Bonds, and Share Auctions. The session will discuss preliminary results and real conditions as well as the measures’ prospects. It will also include case studies of these support measures used in combination.

The session will be moderated by DOM.RF Deputy CEO Anton Finogenov. Speakers will include representatives of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), DOM.RF, National Center for Public Private Partnerships, Delovaya Rossiya (Business Russia), major developers, and regional officials.
