In addition to Knevichi Airport in Vladivostok, the e-visa mechanism might be extended to the airports at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Yelizovo), Blagoveschensk (Ignatyevo), Khabarovsk (Novy), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo) and Anadyr (Ugolny) in 2018. This would bring the number of Russia’s Far Eastern regions that foreigners may visit on an e-visa up to six.
“The international airports in these Far Eastern regions have already been technically equipped to handle e-visas. The simplified entry procedure for foreigners using e-visas will be extended to the rest of the airports for arrival in Russia’s Far East as they receive the requisite hardware and software,” said Secretary of State – Deputy Minister for the Development of the Far East Pavel Volkov.
