The Amur Region will present an exposition at the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition, which will be held as part of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum. The region will build a three-storey pavilion called ‘Amur Region: An Economy for Sustainable Development’, where it will present its industrial, investment, and cultural potential. The pavilion will symbolize an unconventional approach to typical solving problems in this area as well as ways to use advanced technologies and practices. The pavilion’s unusual façade is a metaphor for the numerous key components of the region: agriculture, the gas chemical industry, cable car, and more.
“The Amur Region has become one of the most dynamically developing regions in the Far East. Some of the largest investment projects are being implemented in the Amur Region. These include the construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant and the Amur Gas Chemical Complex. A transport and logistics complex is being built near the bridge over the Amur River between Blagoveshchensk and Heihe. In the future, it could become one of the largest in the Far East. One of the most ambitious projects in Russia in the 21st century was the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome. Launch and engineering complexes for the Soyuz series missiles have been built. The construction of a second launch pad for the Angara launch vehicle is under way. The cities of Svobodny and Tsiolkovsky have begun undergoing a new level of development. This includes the restructuring of cities and the creation of an entirely different type of social infrastructure. Our job is to continue helping the region to attract investors so that new enterprises are built, highly skilled jobs are created, and people’s quality of life improves,” said Yury Trutnev, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian President in the Far Eastern Federal District.
The ground floor of the exposition will showcase the region’s agriculture, exports, and tourism industry. The booths will demonstrate the current and future developmental milestones of these industries with a focus on agriculture. The region will present basic indicators, development prospects, investment projects, support measures, and special programmes for investors.
The art object ‘Success Stories of Local Producers’ will also be on display at the exposition. A chain of decorative light bulbs will show the path from the raw material to the final consumer product. The manufacturers represented will include the Amurskiy Oil Extraction Plant, Soya ANK Oil Extraction Plant, Ametis (dihydroquercetin), Taiga Organics (honey and honey products), Gifts of Nature (fireweed), Amura Wild Herbs (lemongrass, wild berry jam), and others.
In addition, the pavilion will offer an opportunity to take a VR tour of the Amur Region’s tourist attractions, in particular, the beauty of the region’s nature from a bird’s eye view.
The second floor will be a centre of economic growth. It will host the interactive installation ‘Development of a Gas Chemical Cluster in the Amur Region’, which will display anchor and potential investment projects. Visitors will be able to get a detailed understanding of the entire path that gas takes from its extraction to the key plants of the cluster.
The centre of economic growth will also present projects in the following areas: mining, tourism and recreation, energy, space, construction, and others. In addition, a long-term plan will be presented for the development of the city of Svobodny.
The third floor will house a leisure and negotiation area.
“We have a striking pavilion on the Far East Street. We built it in 2019, preserved the structural elements, and are now preparing renovation and updating the content,” Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov said. “Using interactive installations, we expect to advantageously present our region’s achievements and potential as well as hold negotiations, which will then be continued as part of specific agreements and projects. Incidentally, it was at the EEF in 2019 that we first presented the project to build an international terminal at the Blagoveshchensk Airport and attracted the attention of some of the largest operators in this area. A competition was then held and an investor was chosen – the public association ABS Blagoveshchensk, which will build a new combined terminal for domestic and international flights. This is now one of the most vivid examples of public-private partnership. The presentation of the project for the Ignatyevo International Airport is one of the elements of the Amur Region’s pavilion on the Far East Street.”
The Amur Export Green Island exporters pavilion will be set up as part of the Amur Region’s exhibition to present the best products of exporters who have already successfully entered foreign markets. Entrepreneurs will tell their success stories and demonstrate their products with an opportunity to taste and buy them. In addition, new agribusiness products that are in demand on foreign markets will be showcased.
The ‘Far East Street’ exhibition will take place on the embankment of Ayaks Bay on 2–7 September. It will be open to EEF 2021 participants and guests on 2–4 September and residents of Vladivostok on 5–6 September. A social day will take place on 7 September for large families, retirees, veterans, and representatives of youth organizations.
The EEF 2021 will be held in compliance with all the required safety measures and recommendations of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing and the World Health Organization to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The exhibition is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian President in the Far Eastern Federal District.

Bahrain Joins Framework Declaration on Conservation of Gyrfalcons
The Kingdom of Bahrain has become the seventh country to join the Declaration of Intent for the Conservation of the Gyrfalcon Population. The document was adopted by Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and the UAE as part the Falcon Day International Forum, which was first held in Vladivostok during the 8th Eastern Economic Forum. The event was managed by the Roscongress Foundation.

Great Bustard Exploring Kalmykia’s Steppe
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, VNII Ecologia, the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia, the Roscongress Foundation and Kamchatka Falcon Centre, with the participation of experts and foundations from the Gulf countries, continue to work on the implementation of the order of the President of the Russian Federation and the comprehensive action plan for the establishment of Russian centres for the reintroduction and conservation of falconiform birds in Kamchatka Territory and bustards in the Republic of Kalmykia.

2nd Falcon Day International Forum Dates Announced
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum met in Moscow under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of the federal executive authorities and regional heads of the Russian Federation.
