Russian Government expanded the list of subsidized air routes to the Far East

Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on expansion of the list of subsidized passenger air routes from and to the FarEast for 2020. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation announced that at the meeting with deputy prime ministers on 18 November 2019.

“Currently there are 152 routes as part of the programme for subsidized air routes to the Far East. Next year there will be 176 of them, which is good. It means that the transport accessibility of the region is becoming better,” noted Dmitry Medvedev.

He also announced average subsidy indexation of 30% for air carriers. This will allow to keep the ticket prices for benefit-entitled citizens at an affordable level. For such passengers, air ticket prices will remain the same as last year – 50% of the economy class commercial tariff.
