The new service will be presented at the fifth Eastern Economic Forum. An
electronic map that investors can use to select a site to launch agricultural
projects will be presented at an exhibition of the Ministry for the Development
of the Far East and the Arctic.
“A single digital service for
managing agricultural land will enable us to identify unused or improperly used
land, to support the submission of applications for land plots, and to create
unified databases and requirements. We should take a smart approach to the
allocation of resources and not adhere to the principle of ‘I dig wherever I want’”, – Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexander
Kozlov said.
At present, roughly 1,900 agricultural land plots have been uploaded into
the geoservice in the Amur Region and Primorsky Territory. Entrepreneurs will
be able to use the map to choose a region, view the types of agricultural land
in a municipality, and see what kind of sites they are and where they are
located. A basic card on the land plots provides information on any inventory
that has been conducted as well as photographs and a video with an overview.
“Available land is offered for
cadastral registration and transfer to investors. Unused land implies plots for
which lease agreements have been concluded, but the tenant is not fulfilling
the terms of the contract. When such land is identified, a procedure is
initiated involving the municipality to terminate the agreement and
subsequently transfer the land to other investors. We have already determined
that some land in the Far Eastern Federal District is not listed in the
cadastre, while some is not being used for its intended purpose. There are
roughly 2 million hectares of such land”, – said Alexander Pavlov, Director of the Project Management Department at the
Far East Investment and Export Agency, adding that the company would also be
conducting an inventory of land in other Far Eastern regions.
The fifth Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok on 4–6 September. The exhibition of the Ministry for the Development of the Far
East will include an ‘Investor Services’ information desk that will present more than a dozen instruments which
investors can use to learn how to get state support, finance a project, and
become a resident of the preferential regimes of the advanced special economic
zones or the Free Port of Vladivostok. The exhibition area will also include a
zone for presenting economic sectors of the Far Eastern regions with an
assessment of their investment potential. It will provide an opportunity to
learn about projects that have already been completed as well as those that are
in their initial stage. There will also be a ‘Far East Lounge’ for the convenience of Forum participants.

Moscow discussed promoting the potential of the Republic of Kalmykia for its development
A meeting between Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Batu Khasikov, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, was held in Moscow to discuss the implementation of a number of key projects and programmes designed to create a long-term basis for the structural development of the economy of the Republic of Kalmykia and the Caspian region.

2nd Falcon Day International Forum Dates Announced
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum met in Moscow under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of the federal executive authorities and regional heads of the Russian Federation.
