Over 150 Thousand People Attend Cultural Programme Events During Roscongress Foundation’s Forums in 2022

In 2022, the Roscongress Foundation continued to develop the cultural components of its major congress, exhibition and business events.

For example, the Festival of Culture of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum was once again held under the St. Petersburg Seasons brand. The programme brought together more than 50 events, including the city’s theatrical offerings, permanent and temporary exhibitions in museums, palaces, and park ensembles.

In addition, in the outgoing year the Eastern Economic Forum premiered its cultural festival under a new brand name – the Vladivostok Seasons. The festival included concerts on the Mariinsky Theatre’s Primorsky Stage and on the city’s central square, and special exhibitions dedicated to the Russian Far East and Arctic exploration.

Special attention in Vladivostok was given to the Far East Street exhibition, one of the key events of the EEF 2022 cultural programme. Concerts by creative groups from the Far East regions were held daily on the exhibition’s central stage. An opening ceremony for the House of the Tiger was also held.

The Roscongress Foundation organized and held a specialized visiting session entitled ‘Eurasian and Middle Eastern Cultural Code: International Cultural Events as Epicentres of Event Tourism’. The session featured international experts and was held as part of ‘Values and Opportunities of a Multipolar World International Conference’. Together with the Bridge of Arts Foundation an evening event in Dubai was organized, that included an opera performance for the Dresden Ball conference participants.

The Foundation continues its cooperation with the Association of Folk Arts and Crafts. In 2022, as part of the Baikal Mile project, the Foundation and the Association of Folk Arts and Crafts prepared special routes to visit folk crafts enterprises in various Russian cities.

In addition, in partnership with NHP enterprises, The World Through Our Eyes a travel blog was filmed.  Also, a new series of travel-blog about Altai was published to coincide with the Altai Ecological Forum. The World Through Our Eyes videos are broadcast on Sapsan trains of Russian Railways and on various digital platforms across Russia.

Further development of existing brands is planned for 2023, as well as introduction of new themed events to cultural programmes. For example, preparations are already underway for the first Russian Fashion and Design Industry Forum, in partnership with the Kosygin Russian State University and the Russian Union of Designers.

The event will bring together professionals from apparel industry, industrial design, retail, government and business. In cooperation with Kosygin University, competitions for young fashion and design professionals will be established and held.
