JAPANESE COMPANY TO BUILD SPA RESORT IN SAKHALIN

A trilateral agreement on the allotment of a land plot for the implementation of the investment project will be signed at the Eastern Economic Forum, the Sakhalin regional administration said in a press release.

Japan’s Marusin Ivadero will build a health spa complex (based on medicinal mineral springs) in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk at a cost of more than RUB 500 million.

The Honoka Sakhalin resort complex will be sited on an area of 2.4 hectares within the Tourist Valley forest area. The complex is intended for both local residents as well as guests to the region and will operate year-round.

The complex will offer its visitors beauty and preventive procedures, spa services and various types of massage. It has been announced that one area will have pools with different features and temperature control, a bath house, an area with saunas and jacuzzis, a lounge area and a Japanese garden.
