Amur
Region is a foothold for the Russian Far East. It boasts rich subsoil
resources, a long border with China and unique investment projects: Russia’s
largest gas and chemical cluster, a modern civilian spaceport, an international
bridge across the Amur River, a cross-border cableway, and historical artefacts
such as the Albazin Fortress and a dinosaur graveyard. The region will present
its investment projects, economic growth and cultural achievements at its stand
at the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition.
“We traditionally
present our potential at the ‘Far East Street’. We have a three-story pavilion.
This year it is designed to present both the cultural and historical heritage
of our region and its modern investment projects. We wanted Forum visitors to
see this combination of culture, tradition and outlook for the future,” shared
Deputy Chairman of Amur Region Government Pavel Puzanov.
The
pavilion’s wooden ornaments symbolize Amur Region’s interpretation of its
commitment to its unique colour and traditions, a return to its origins and the
architecture of Rus. The unusual images reflect the region’s industrial
diversity, broad potential and inspire bold investment ideas.
The
first floor will be presented by master plans of the cities of Tynda,
Blagoveshchensk, and Svobodny, which reflect current economic and social
indicators, achievements in all priority areas, problems and needs,
strategically important facilities, investment projects, and a positive
development scenario for the presented cities – an image of their future.
Among
the largest investment projects are the Blagoveshchensk–Heihe international
bridge, the cross-border cableway, the Golden Mile project, the Tribune Hall
and New Square, the construction of the second branch of Baikal–Amur Mainline,
the international airport, PIK Group’s integrated housing development projects,
the industrial and logistics cluster, the customs and logistics terminal, the
Amur Gas Chemical Complex, the Amur Gas Processing Plant, the Methanol Plant,
and the Liquefied Natural Gas Production Plant.
The
second floor of the stand will be dedicated to the space industry. Here one
will be able to get acquainted with the history of the Vostochny cosmodrome, as
well as unique projects of the future and tourist routes of the region. Each
guest will be able to enjoy the space atmosphere, disconnect from the real
world and get closer to the stars. The third floor of the stand will become a
business space for negotiations and a recreational area.
The
pavilion will host a street trade zone during the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition.
It will include the ‘Buy Local’ part. It will offer soybean oil; honey
products; homemade kvas; dairy products; dietary supplements made from
dihydroquercetin and arabinogalactan products using an innovative production
method; space food; meat products; and a merchandize zone of My East (a
regional clothing brand). In addition, guests of the stand will enjoy an
exhibition 'Works of Amur Region craftsmen' and an art object - letter ‘A’ made
of mirrors. Visitors will get a chance to play traditional folk games, assemble
a tiger photo mosaic and take selfies in a special photo area.
The
’Far East Street’ will be available to guests and participants of the Eastern
Economic Forum on 5–8 September. It is located on the Ajax Bay embankment on
the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). After the end of the
Forum, Vladivostok residents and visitors will enjoy free access to the
exhibition until 11 September.
