Vietnam Delegation to Take Part in EEF 2022

Russian Presidential Adviser Anton Kobyakov and Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam met in Moscow to discuss the development of strategic partnership between the two countries and the participation of the Vietnamese delegation in the Eastern Economic Forum.

The main theme of EEF 2022 is ‘The Path to a Multipolar World’. It aims to expand multilateral cooperation among countries of Asia Pacific primarily and to search for new areas of socio-economic development of the Far East.

In order to further unlock the potential of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Vietnam during the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of regular visits of official and business circles of both countries not only during working visits and meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission, but also on the sidelines of international events that contribute to maintaining and developing the bilateral dialogue.

“In the current international environment, economic relations between Vietnam and Russia are becoming more important and have a huge potential for further development. I am confident that the participation of the official and business delegations of Vietnam in the Eastern Economic Forum will be fruitful and will bring positive results for both parties,” noted Anton Kobyakov.

Traditionally, the Russia–ASEAN Business Dialogue takes place during the EEF as a key session dedicated to the dynamics of economic relations between Russia and ASEAN countries; a separate panel session on the potential for developing trade and economic relations between Russia and Vietnam will be held on the margins of the Russia–Vietnam Business Dialogue.

“Vietnam actively supports trade development within the Eurasian Economic Union and was among the first ones to have signed the free trade agreement with the EAEU,” said Dang Minh Khoi.

The 7th Eastern Economic Forum will take place on 5–8 September in Vladivostok.

Registration of media representatives for EEF 2022 is open on the official Forum website until 10 August 2022.
