A Field Session Under the Auspices of the 5th Eastern Economic Forum Will Take Place on 29 May in Chita

The EEF field session in Trans-Baikal Territory is a milestone in preparing the region for participation in the 5th Eastern Economic Forum. Representatives of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, the government agencies of Trans-Baikal Territory, major regional employers, the business community, educational institutions, public and commercial organizations are to participate in the session.

The plenary session ‘200 days in the FEFD: Achievements and Growth Points’ is a key event of the EEF field session. A roundtable ‘Strategy for Attracting Private Investments’ will open the event. Here the participants will discuss the effectiveness of special preferential regimes in the Far East, in particular, the establishment of the Trans-Baikal ASEZ and the budget covering the infrastructure development for the residents.

Support for small and medium-sized businesses in Trans-Baikal Territory will receive special consideration. Representatives of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, the Ministry of Economic Development of the region, federal and regional development institutions, together with the local businessmen are to discuss the most relevant problems and the most effective solutions for them in terms of improving existing business support mechanisms.

During the session ‘In Search of Personnel for the Trans-Baikal Investment Projects’, experts and participants are to discuss key points of growth on the regional labour market, in particular, securing qualified personnel for promising investment projects.

A Roscongress Foundation representative will hold a master session ‘Development of Congress and Exhibition Practices’. Discussion of the programme ‘Far Eastern Hectare: Maximum Self-Fulfilment, From Acquiring to Reclaiming’ will conclude the event. Participants are to analyse the most effective mechanisms for land development, the implementation of federal and regional support.

The event organizers are the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the Far East Investment and Export Agency, The Roscongress Foundation, the Government of Trans-Baikal Territory, the Far East Human Capital Development Agency, the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Corporation for the Development of Trans-Baikal Territory.

The event will take place at the Tochka Kipeniya Chita, beginning at 9:30.
