The joint issuance by two or more countries of stamps, blocks, envelopes, or other philatelic material on a common theme is a significant philatelic event. The Tiger Forum was able to bring the posts services of nine countries together.
The co-release was initiated by Russia. The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Marka JSC prepared the event.
At the opening ceremony of the 2nd International Tiger Forum on 5 September, distinguished guests redeemed a postage stamp and envelope issued in Russia. The ceremony was attended by Russian Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko, Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Khin Maung Yee, and CEO of Russian Post Maxim Akimov.
The stamps issued in other tiger-range countries were demonstrated at the ceremony. In addition to Russia, stamps dedicated to the 2nd International Tiger Forum were issued by the Kingdom of Cambodia, the People’s Republic of China, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and the Republic of India.
“The joint issue of post stamps by nine tiger-range countries is symbolic and proves that countries of this rare predator’s habitat can reach an agreement. This was discussed at the Forum: we need to cooperate and develop cooperation mechanisms to protect the tiger,” said Director General of the Amur Tiger Centre Sergey Aramilev.
The 2nd International Tiger Forum took place in Vladivostok on 5 September 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the results of the comprehensive census of the Amur tiger in his video address to the event participants. There are currently at least 750 Amur tigers in Russia, including cubs. According to the 2015 census, there were 523–540 tigers.
The Tiger Forum is organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Amur Tiger Centre, and the Roscongress Foundation.

Russia and Bahrain Look to Intensify Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation
Advisor to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov held a meeting in Moscow with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation Ahmed Al-Saati, during which the two officials discussed a wide range of issues concerning economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and reached a number of agreements.
